Gather together the things you need:
(Remember, if you haven't got something that's on the list you can be resourceful like the five little beans and use any other bits and bobs you've got lying around).
Measure 2cm from the end of your matchbox.
Remove the inside of the matchbox and cut a rectangle 2cm wide off the top of the outer sleeve.
Put the inside of the matchbox back into its sleeve. Now you've made the 'cockpit'.
Make a comfy seat for the five little beans by squashing the blu-tack into the 'cockpit'.
Break your lollipop stick in half to make two 'wings'.
Ask an adult to help you use the craft knife to cut a slit on each side of the matchbox.
Push the 'wings' into the slits.
Cut 4 'wheels' from the end of your drinking straw.
Glue the 'wheels' onto the bottom of the matchbox - one in each corner.
Put plenty of glue on the end of the matchbox.
Push the bottle top onto the glue and hold it until it's truly stuck.
Have a drink, snack, snooze, jump, sing, dance, scratch, trump etc. while the glue's drying!
Ask an adult to help you use the craft knife to cut a slit on top of the matchbox.
Break off half the plastic knife blade to make a 'tail'.
Push the 'tail' into the slit on the top of the matchbox.
Finally choose some passengers for your BeanyJet and welcome them aboard. Prepare for take off...now you're ready to fly!
